POWERUMBA Has Come to New England!

Bachata

What is it? An authentic Dominican based cardio dance class.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Dance and sweat in this smooth, rhythmic cardio dance class originating in the Dominican Republic.

Barre Pilates Fusion *

What is it? A whole body strength and conditioning class.
What do we use? A ballet barre and light hand weights.
How will it help me? Improve posture, core strength and tone muscles.

Belly Dance

What is it? An authentic exotic dance workout.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Improve core function, posture and feel like a Goddess!

Bollywood

What is it? An authentic Indian style dance workout fusing several classical styles of dance.
What do we use? No equipment
How will it help me? Dance fun Bollywood routines to upbeat motivating music while increasing cardio capability and burning a ton of calories!

Boxing Sculpt*

What is it? An athletic, conditioning workout that combines easy-to-follow boxing moves with strength and toning intervals using hand weights. Includes ab floor work at the end.
What do we use? Light hand weights. Please bring a mat
How will it help me? Have fun jabbing to the beat as you punch your stress away and get fit!

Country Heat™

What is it? An easy to follow, low-impact, country dance-inspired workout.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Burn calories and melt away unwanted pounds while you have fun dancing to the hottest country music around.

Foam Rolling *

What is it? A floor-based stretching and mobility class that’s like giving yourself a deep tissue massage,reducing stress within 5 seconds!
What do we use? A foam roller and your mat. One ‘roll’ & you’ll be hooked!
How will it help me? Instantly improve range of motion, detoxification and circulation while reducing muscle tension, tightness and knots. Also aids in promoting good posture & alignment.

Flex Appeal – The Trouble Spot Solution *

What is it? A 30-minute strength and conditioning workout for when you need to get fit fast!
What do we use? Specific Pilates mat, ball and glide exercises.
How will it help me? Fine-tune, lift & tone your trouble-spot areas while you build core strength.

LaBlast® Cardio Ballroom

What is it? No partner required in this fun dance fitness workout that includes Disco, Jive, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Lindy Hop, Tango, Paso Doble, Samba, Rumba, Salsa, Merengue, Quickstep and Cha Cha.
What do we use? No equipment (and no partner!)
How will it help me? Feel like one of the Stars on the hit TV show, Dancing with the Stars! as you get fit.

POUND® *

What is it? A simulated drumming workout that fuses cardio, Pilates and isometric movements.
What do we use? Two Ripstix® and a mat.
How will it help me? A full-body cardio jam session – rock out your workout!

Rip & Roll*

What is it? A unique hybrid workout to strengthen and condition your total body using strength circuits, stretching and foam rolling, all in one class.
What do we use? Ballet barre, various pieces of resistance equipment, foam rollers and a mat.
How will it help me? Increase strength, flexibility and mobility.

Upper Body Express

What is it? Sculpt, strengthen and tone your shoulders, arms, upper back and chest in this 30 min express class format.
What do we use? Various pieces of equipment including dumbbells, wrist weights, tubes and barbells.
How will it help me? Rock those sleeveless dresses and tank tops with confidence! Bye, bye bat wings and bra bulge!

Vixen 101

What is it? Learn the moves, have fun and STILL get an amazing total body workout that can burn 450-1,000 calories/class!
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Come see what the rage is about and set your spirit free in this fun, non-intimidating environment; open to ALL levels!

Yoga *

What is it? A relaxing class incorporating traditional stretches & poses to help open hips and improve mobility, flexibility & balance.
What do we use? A mat and various props including blocks, bolsters or straps.
How will it help me? Reduce tightness and tension in mind and body while promoting feelings of well-being and stress reduction.

Zumba® Toning

What is it? For those who love a dance party but want the addition and variety of toning exercises.
What do we use? Zumba® toning sticks.
How will it help me? Add a little twist to your fun dance workout with 1-3lb hand weights.

Basic Hip Hop

What is it? A fun and funky cardio workout.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Easy to follow & fun dance routines that also work up a sweat!

Body Sculpting *

What is it? A full-body resistance training workout.
What do we use? Barbells, weights and various pieces of equipment.
How will it help me? Shape a beautiful body, improve strength and fire up your metabolic rate!

Booty Boot Camp *

What is it? A workout designed to tone, lift and strengthen the glutes and hamstrings, creating a shapely and strong backside.
What do we use? Weights and various other pieces of equipment.
How will it help me? Shape a beautiful booty, improve strength and fire up lazy muscles

Burlesque

What is it? A unique dance-fitness class where we break down all the moves and then perform a HOT and SASSY routine together by the end.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? A fun chance to smile, flirt, wink, bump, grind and shimmy your way into shape!

Core Express

What is it? An express class format designed to flatten your abs, strengthen your back and whittle your middle!
What do we use? A mat and various pieces of resistance equipment
How will it help me? By strengthening your core, you can help relieve back pain, improve your posture and balance.

FOGA: Foam Roll/Yoga/Core Combo*

What is it? 20 minutes of strength training, 15 minutes of yoga and 15 minutes of foam rolling.
What do we use? Various pieces of exercise equipment, a foam roller and a mat.
How will it help me? A unique full-body workout, FOGA is a great place to start or to bring balance to your cardio program.

Guided Meditation Series

What is it? Enjoy beautiful, relaxing soundscapes and an uplifting and healing message from Deepak Chopra to center your thoughts and create more vitality, peace, and joy.
What do we use? Please bring a yoga mat and blanket or sweatshirt/sweater so you’re warm and comfy.:)
How will it help me? Reduce stress, quiet the noise and outside “chatter” and bring calm and tranquility to your body, mind and soul as we learn how to take small yet powerful steps to improve eating, social, and fitness habits.

Kundalini Yoga*

What is it? Known as the yoga of awareness, this class uses rhythmic movements in conjunction with deep stretches, breathing techniques, meditation, and mantras
What do we use? Please bring a mat.
How will it help me? A fast and effective way to clear your mind, energize your body, and uplift your spirit while reducing stress and excessive tension.

PIYO *

What is it? A 45-minute class incorporating the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga.
What do we use? A mat.
How will it help me? Burning fat while increasing flexibility and core strength.

Powerumba®

What is it? A non-impact, dance fitness workout with a distinct, smooth and flowing methodology that starts with the very basic steps of each genre of dance (salsa, reggaeton, merengue, samba, bachata, cumbia, soca) and slowly transitions to create a complete choreography.
What do we use? no equipment
How will it help me? Get an amazing full-body workout as well as a sense of accomplishment and the feeling of really “dancing”!

STRONG by Zumba™*

What is it? This ain’t no dance class! A full-body strength and conditioning interval training workout cleverly syncopated to cool music.
What do we use? A mat.
How will it help me? A great functional workout: Improve muscle definition and burn mega calories.

RIPPED Fitness Circuits Express (30mins) *

What is it? A full-body strength & conditioning workout.
What do we use? Body weight, hand and ankle weights, barbells, physio balls, glide discs, bands and medicine balls.
How will it help me? Sculpt, tone and shape your body, fire up your metabolism and burn fat in this fun circuit format

Vixen Workout

What is it? A cardio hip-hop dance workout by women, for women with real moves from music videos, concerts, pop culture and the commercial dance scene.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Increase confidence and unleash your inner Beyoncé, JLO or Rihanna as you have a blast burning up to 1,000 calories per class!

Yin Yoga *

What is it? A gentle, restorative, floor-based style of Yoga that promotes stress relief for mind & body.
What do we use? A mat and various props: bolsters, yoga blocks or straps.
How will it help me? The perfect antidote to reduce tightness, tension and restore balance and function. Feel the bliss!

Zumba®

What is it? A dance-fitness class that mixes Latin & World rhythms.
What do we use? No equipment.
How will it help me? Let loose, have fun & join the party as we “exercise in disguise.”

All classes open to all levels. No experience necessary.
